Ingredients

Ingredients (use vegan versions):
  • 2 tablespoon reduced-calorie stick non-hydrogenated vegan margarine
  • 2 tblsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon BISTO brand brown gravy mix
  • 1 tablespoon low-fat vegetarian beef-flavored bouillon
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water
Directions:

Melt margarine in small saucepan over medium heat.

Add flour, stirring with a whisk.

Dissolve bouillon in the hot water; gradually add to flour/margarine mixture, stirring until blended.

Cook 5 minutes over medium-high heat or until thick, stirring constantly.

Note: This is great with Shepherd''s Pie or on mashed potatoes, even the meat-eaters in my family like it!

Serves: 1 cup

Preparation time: 15 minutes
