Ingredients
- your favourite vegan bacon
- onion
- macaroni or vegetelli or similar pasta
- tomato paste
- seasoning
- olive oil
I do this by eye and it is the vegan version of the Macaroni and Ham recipe my mother used to whip up for weekend lunches.
Cook enough pasta for the number of people you are trying to feed.
In the fry pan, fry the chopped up bacon and onion until soft and then add some tomato paste. You don''t need much - just enough to go through the onion and bacon mix and to coat the pasta.
When the pasta is cooked add it to the onion mix, and allow to cook for another couple of minutes.Add your favourite seasoning during this time.
Just something for a change from the macaroni cheese type recipes...
