- any veggies that you have
Pastry mix is a powder packet mix that consists of flour, vegetable fats, and vegetable oils, sodium bicarbonate, and salt. I buy the pastry mix at the supermarket. Approx 340gm packet will do 2 pies.
Prepare all veggies that you have on hand and chop small.
When making the mix i like it to be very wet, so as to allow it to fill in between the veggies so as to make a pastry and veggie pie crust. Prepare Pastry Mix so that it is very liquid type mix and then add veggies to mix and then place into greased pie dishes. Let stand for 45 minutes before placing in moderate oven. Cook until pastry mix is firm all the way through and is cooked properly. Then remove from oven, and serve with a fresh green salad. Can be served hot or cold and is great snack for kids lunches or picnic''s.
