Ingredients
Ingredients (use vegan versions):
- 1 16-oz can chickpeas
- 1/4 - 1/2 cup lemon or lime juice
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- salt and pepper to taste
Essentially all you have to do is mix this together well after chopping up the onion and mincing the garlic. I find this easy to do by putting it in a sealed plastic container and shaking it.
One of my Pakistani friends actually made this for me. She put orange juice in it, though I find I like it without it. As for the lemon/lime juice, just find what works right for you. Regardless, I find this quick, easy, and tasty in a pinch.
