Ingredients
Ingredients (use vegan versions):
- 1-2 tablespoons soy vegan margarine
- 1/2 small onion thinly sliced
- 6 oz (or about 1 1/2 cups) veggie/soy crumbles
- garlic powder
- 4 slices veggie/soy mozzarella
- 2 hoagie buns/sub rolls
- vegan marinara sauce
Cook the onion in the vegan margarine until soft and translucent. Add the crumbles and cook until heated through - sprinkle with garlic powder (or minced fresh garlic) to taste
Lower heat and spread mixture out in pan - top with slices of vegan cheese. When vegan cheese is melted, pile into 2 rolls and top with warmed marinara sauce.
Variation: You could also saute some green pepper along with the onion.
