Online Cookbook began with a legacy recipe database assembled before the current website was created. The database contains community-style recipes from many contributors and sources. In numerous records, the original database did not preserve complete author, publication, or website attribution.
What we do know
The archive includes recipes in several distinct collections and categories. Many entries retain conversational wording, brand references, contributor comments, or formatting conventions from the original record. Online Cookbook has cleaned database markup, removed exact duplicates, separated ingredients from directions where possible, and repaired obvious display problems.
What we do not claim
We do not claim that every recipe was created by Online Cookbook, that every recipe is public domain, or that every recipe has been independently tested. A recipe’s presence in a legacy database does not by itself establish ownership or origin.
Attribution and rights requests
If you recognize a recipe and can supply reliable original attribution, please contact us with the recipe page address and supporting information. If you are a rights holder and believe material should be credited, revised, or removed, use the Contact page. We will review reasonable, specific requests and make corrections where appropriate.
New material
Any future cookbook, dataset, or contributed collection added to the site should be reviewed for licensing and attribution before publication. The site will distinguish newly licensed, public-domain, or original material from the legacy archive whenever that information is available.
