Ingredients
Ingredients (use vegan versions):
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 1 lb pole beans
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 freshly ground pepper
Bring 1/2 inch of water to a boil in a sauce pan. Add salt. Add the washed pole beans (remember to remove the tips).
Bring to a second boil and cook uncovered for 5 minutes. Cover and cook for another 5 minutes.
Remove the beans and place to the side. Drain the excess water. Add to the sauce pan the olive oil, sesame seeds and pepper.
Cook until the sesame seeds become a golden brown. Be careful not to overcook the sesame.
Add the toasted sesame over the cooked beans.
